Box of Love - FHE

I got this idea from The Friend. I am excited to do it with the kids. I think we will make one box and hang it up. Throughout the next week we will do little activities (make treats, cards, or secret services) and put them in the box. We will check the box at night and see if there is inything in it. That way we will be able to include Daddy. We'll see how it goes!! Box of Love Each week in February, hang this box of love on a different family member’s door. Throughout the week, put things in the box that tell or show your love for that person. You can leave a note, a drawing, or a small treat. If you like, invite other family members to add to the box and share the love! 1. Cut off the top flaps of a small cardboard box, such as a small cereal box. 2. Cut out a piece of colorful paper or wrapping paper the same height as the box. Wrap the paper around the box and secure with tape or glue. 3. Punch a hole near the top of the two short sides. 4. Tie a ribbon or string through the two holes to make a handle to hang the box on a doorknob.

Dear Brandon, You work so hard. You spend your day rasking your brain at work and school putting in longer days then you ever have before, then you come home and take care of us and things that need to be done around the house. You really are carrying us on your back these days since I have been struggling. So, yesterday I asked you a question, "Brandon...what can I do around here to make things easier for you?" Your reply, "I'll have to get back to you on that!" I know exactly what you're thinking, "Wow, that's a loaded question. Anything I say will hurt her feelings and make her feel that she doesn't do enough around here." This is what I meant to say... I do a lot around here but I want to make sure it's the things that you like seeing when you come home. If you don't like extravagant meals then I'll put my energy elsewhere. If you love it when the kitchen table is clean I will try to do it before you come home. Don't get crazy though...I'm not a 1950's mom who can do everything. I will try. I love you.

Mommy, Where's Brando?

Dear Brandon, You are working like an accountant this week. Lots of hours. I guess I shouldn't complain...because you are an accountant. We have been so blessed that you have been able to come home at 5ish every night except during budgets and year end. Things have been great here but it's hard to hear the kids ask about you all the time. It's hard to put them to bed knowing that they have missed you all day and probably won't see you tomorrow. So we are pulling some late nights so that we can all see you. Today I couldn't find the kids. I was frantically looking for them when I found them. They were inside the raspberry bushes eating the not quite ripe (by your standards) berries. It seems that Atti is only happy when he's eating berries. Lately he just cries and cries when we are outside. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the dog he doesn't like. Cali always licks his face. Yuck. Funny Story: Phoenix was out side swimming in the swimming pool and said..."Mommy, Where is Brando?" Anyways, I'm sorry you have to work so hard and miss all those silly moments! We love you for it! Love, Brittany PS Today I did a horrible thing... These are chocolate cupcakes with a peanut butter filling and strawberry jam on top. The best pb and j I've ever had!!

Thank you, For loving me!

Brandon, I love you! You work so hard for us so that we can enjoy our days. I complain that it's hard but if I choose I can make it fun. Your job at McCain Foods has been so good to us. I Thank our Heavenly Father for blessing us so. I know that it's because of your hard work and diligence. We love and miss you while you are at work and run to hug and kiss you when you get home. Thank you! Here is a picture of the smiles your company makes! Cute!

Why?

Brandon, I wanted to make this blog for you so that you can see what we do while you are at work everyday. I realized that I take pictures and videos a lot and you never get to see them. So this is for you. Some days are good, some days are hard. But everyday I am grateful to have freedom to play and have fun! I love you! Truly, Brittany
